eva

For Australian small businesses

You take care of your customers. Eva takes the call.

When you can’t pick up, the next enquiry still deserves a next step. Eva is an AI front desk designed to answer from your approved information, take messages and capture appointment requests.

Start with a tailored pilot. Your number, answers and handoff need to be tested before going live.

See the next step, not a wall of transcripts.

81 seconds inside Sunny Plumbing: a fictional business showing the owner’s work queue, setup, FAQs and daily summary. Silent screen recording with on-screen captions.

  1. Call summaries: see what the caller needs, without reading a full transcript.
  2. The next action is clear: call back to confirm Tuesday afternoon.
  3. The request has been read back. The appointment still needs owner confirmation.
  4. Five-step setup: check your hours, then prepare your service details.
  5. Apply the plumbing starter for editable services and bilingual FAQs.
  6. Quotes need owner confirmation. Unknown prices are never treated as free.
  7. The handoff number is masked. This demonstration never places a call.
  8. Preview and save a pending draft. No live changes or emails are sent.
  9. Starter FAQs remain internal and unreviewed—not available to callers.
  10. For unknown questions, be honest and ask permission for a callback.
  11. The daily digest lists follow-ups. This is a preview; no email is sent.

A useful front desk. Clear limits.

These workflows are demonstrated locally. A real pilot needs phone, handoff and delivery checks for your business.

What Eva is designed to help with

  • Answer using business information you have reviewed and approved.
  • Take a message, ask permission for a callback and read the important details back.
  • Capture an appointment request for your team to confirm.
  • Show call summaries and the next action for the owner.

What Eva won’t promise

  • No invented prices, availability or completed bookings.
  • No pretending to be a human, or making decisions outside your rules.
  • No guarantee of every call being answered or unlimited usage.
  • No emergency service or professional advice. Urgent situations need the appropriate service.

Made for the days you’re busy doing the work.

Start with a draft for your trade. Edit it to match your business; nothing becomes an approved answer automatically.

Plumbing

A leaking tap, a suburb and a preferred time — ready for your callback.

Electrical

Collect the job details; flag safety concerns for the right person.

Cleaning

Ask about the property and the service, without inventing a quote.

Auto repair

Record the vehicle, the issue and the preferred drop-off time.

Hair & beauty

Capture the treatment and time preference for your team to confirm.

Your business, in five simple steps.

  1. Set your hours

Include your timezone and after-hours rules.

  2. Add your services

Start from a trade template, then check each answer.

  3. Set quoting rules

Choose what Eva may quote, or leave it to you.

  4. Choose a colleague

Set the handoff number and callback fallback.

  5. Choose the owner’s email

Preview the answers and review changes before activation.

Saving a draft does not enable the phone line. Your team reviews the configuration and the pilot before activation.

Clear about being AI. Careful with your information.

Is Eva a person?

No. Eva is an AI receptionist, identifies itself as AI and answers honestly when asked. The screen recording is a fictional demonstration, not a customer testimonial.

Are calls recorded?

Recording is off by default. Recording requires separate, explicit consent. Live audio still needs processing to answer a call; the approved setup and privacy notice must explain this before a pilot.

Where does information go?

Australian hosting and a Sydney database are the proposed deployment setup, not a claim that every processor keeps data in Australia. Model and notification processing, retention and access must be confirmed before going live. Logs are designed to mask phone numbers and transcripts.

What happens when Eva is unsure?

Eva should say it is unsure and offer a colleague callback with permission. A saved message is not a promise that an email has arrived or an appointment is confirmed.

Can I call the demonstration number?

Not yet. The proposed U Design shared-number menu is press 1 for an Eva demo; press 2 or wait for the normal business route. It is not activated here. The proposed demo has a 2-minute limit and 50 calls per month in total.

How are trial request details used?

With your consent, your request and consent time are stored temporarily in Cloudflare D1 for authorised owners to arrange a trial, not a marketing list. Cloudflare processing is not guaranteed to stay entirely in Australia. Requests not proceeding are manually reviewed for deletion within 90 days; ongoing pilots agree separate retention. To withdraw contact consent or request access, correction or deletion, use the U Design Studio contact page. Do not submit customer records or sensitive information.
